A bit about the supply and printing company whose products we use, Teemill.

From Sustainable Review's website:

“One of the standout features of Teemill is the fact that all of its products are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. This certification ensures that the entire production process, from growing the cotton to the final product, meets strict environmental and social criteria. By using organic materials, Teemill reduces the use of harmful chemicals and promotes soil fertility.

In addition to using organic materials, Teemill goes above and beyond by using renewable energy in its supply chain. By utilizing clean energy sources, such as wind and solar power, Teemill reduces its carbon footprint and helps combat climate change.

Teemill also prides itself on using low impact non-toxic dyes in all of its products. Traditional textile dyes can be extremely harmful to the environment, contaminating water sources and causing pollution. By opting for non-toxic dyes, Teemill ensures that its products are safe for both the consumer and the environment.

Teemill’s commitment to sustainability extends to its treatment of animals. The brand proudly states that its entire product range is vegan, meaning no animal products or by-products are used. Hi there,
Thank you for stopping by.
I'm JAKE, founder and creator of the various characters and designs.
I was brought up by compassionate parents to love animals and treat them with respect and I abhor animal cruelty. I'm also quite fond of this old planet of ours, and so ethical, cruelty free and sustainable products are important to me, and the company who print our designs align with my ethics. The products are delivered in plastic free packaging, and the product range itself is vegan (i.e., no animal derived ingredients).
I, like many others, do find the world a dark place and a little difficult to cope with sometimes, creating my characters and designs takes me to a different place and I genuinely enjoy working on them.
I have designs with wording - the fun of those for me was creating the character's facial expression to go with the words - as well as witches, mermaids and vampires. I love creating fantasy characters - women figures with bold makeup and hair. I've always loved fantasy series such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and my ultimate favourite (the original) Charmed. Some of my characters are 'realistic' and some are toon with big heads and big eyes.
I give most of my characters names, as when I'm creating them I have an idea of their personality in my head, and I style them accordingly, so I like to then name them appropriately.
It can take me about an hour to create the character (makeup, hairstyle and colour, pose, etc) with my 3d studio software, it then takes up to 4 hours for my laptop to render them - which is why I need two laptops.
I then do post rendering work using Corel Painter (I primarily use the blenders for work on the skin and hair, and various airbrushes) and Movavi for layering and adding the text.
I mostly like to create textured backgrounds, if not a castle or the moon (the moon photographs I use are all my own photography), and I finish the design (most of the time) with a ripped edging as I don't like solid edges.
One thing with digital art, particularly 3d, is that there's a trail on my drive from the figure's inception in the 3d studio software, to the first render, to post render editing and the final design. So nobody can ever lay claim to your work as you have all the proof needed.
I've had my work published several times in printed Gothic magazines in the U.S. under my previous art name, including a back cover. A couple of my published pieces now feature on clothing items in this store.

Our Values
